Quick Beauty Fix: Batiste Dry Shampoo

It’s been a few years since the first time I tried dry shampoo after which I swore I’d never use it again. I don’t know if whether the first time I used it I didn’t apply it properly (which very well could’ve been), or if it was the brand I was using.

Recently however, I’ve been trying to avoid my typical day-to-day hair routine which involves washing and styling. The only way you’d catch me without my hair washed would have been on a lazy stay-at-home Sunday. Obviously washing and styling everyday isn’t healthy – especially in the winter months when my hair experiences a lot of breakage around the roots. Not to mention it’s time consuming! When my friend told me about the dry shampoo she found and loved I had to give it another try.

It’s been 3 weeks since I started using Batiste dry shampoo and I absolutely love it! This product is an instant fix for greasy hair, and it’s easy to use. Not to mention you can find it for less than $10.00 at nearly any beauty/drug store. Whether I need a quick refresh before going out at night, or want to skip a wash in the morning, this product is the perfect remedy!

How to use it: Batiste dry shampoo is really easy to apply! I usually start on one side of my head and work my way to the other in little sections. As you work your way across your scalp, make sure you’re spraying the shampoo as close to the root as possible. After applying the shampoo, I massage it in with my fingers making sure the product is fully dissolved. A really important final step is to brush your hair from root to tip! Giving your hair a good brush afterward ensures that all the dirt and oil the product has absorbed doesn’t remain in your hair.
